Privacy policy
What data YakNak collects, which cookies Google Analytics and AdSense set, how long anything is kept, and how to erase your data.
This policy describes what happens to a reader's data on yaknakordoni.com.ua. It is written to be read in full. The short version: we ask for no registration, build no profiles and sell nothing to anyone, but the site is funded by Google advertising, and advertising runs on cookies.
The site is run by the nakordoni.eu team, which is the data owner under Ukraine's Personal Data Protection Act and the controller under the GDPR. Reach us through the contact page.
We do not ask for personal data
Viewing queues, reading articles and using the search require no registration. We ask for no name, no phone number and no location. Personal data appears in one case only — when you write to us yourself.
What is collected automatically
Server logs. Like any website, our server records technical requests: IP address, request time, page address, browser type and language. This is needed to run the site, diagnose failures and defend against automated attacks. Entries are kept for no longer than 30 days and are then overwritten.
A technical session. A PHP session is created on the contact page only, and exists solely so that the form cannot be submitted more than once a minute. It is tied to no person and disappears when the browser closes.
Colour theme. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored in browser storage (localStorage, key yk-theme). It is not a cookie, it is never sent to the server, and it stays on your device.
The interface language is carried in the page address (/uk/, /en/, /ru/, /pl/), so there is nothing to store for it.
The contact form
If you write to us through the form, we receive what you typed: your name, the subject, the message and — if you choose — an email address. The message arrives in the editorial working channel on Telegram. We use it only to deal with your question and reply.
These messages go into no mailing list, are passed to no third party and are never used for advertising. If you want your message deleted, say so and we will delete it.
The legal basis for processing is your consent, given when you submit the form.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-DJL6QK56PT) to understand which pages are read and where readers come from. Analytics shows us aggregate statistics: how many sessions, from which countries, which pages are popular. We do not see individual people and make no attempt to identify anyone.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes IP addresses in truncated form. The data is processed by Google under the Google privacy policy. You can switch analytics off with Google's official browser add-on or a blocker — the site works exactly the same either way.
Google AdSense advertising
The site is free and funded by advertising. We serve Google AdSense ads (publisher ca-pub-3393610344128854).
What that means technically:
- Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites;
- personalised advertising can be turned off in Google Ad Settings;
- how Google uses data from partner sites is described on a dedicated Google page;
- we pass Google nothing about you — not your email, not the content of your messages.
We do not control these cookies and have no access to what the advertising system collects. Advertisers have no influence on the content: no crossing looks better or worse because of an ad.
Who the data goes to
Nobody beyond the Google services named above (analytics and advertising) and Telegram, through which we receive form messages. We do not sell, rent or trade reader data.
Data may be disclosed on a lawful request from Ukrainian law enforcement — that is a statutory requirement, not a choice of ours.
Children
The site is aimed at adult travellers and does not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Your rights
You may:
- ask what data of yours we hold and receive a copy;
- request correction or deletion;
- withdraw consent — for the form, that is the same as deleting your message;
- object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or, if you are in the EU, with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, write to us through the contact form. We answer within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
The date of the last update is at the bottom of the page. If a change is substantive, we describe it in the text rather than make it quietly.
Delete my data
One button erases everything this site keeps about you:
- the PHP session id (the contact form is the only thing that uses it);
- your saved language and colour theme;
- every cookie on the yaknakordoni.com.ua domain.
Google’s advertising and analytics cookies belong to Google — turn those off in your browser settings or on the Google pages linked above.
