What YakNak publishes, how accurate the figures are, what you may do with the data, and what we are not liable for.
These terms cover the site yaknakordoni.com.ua. By using the site you accept them. They are written in plain language because they have to be readable by someone sitting in a queue with a phone in hand.

What YakNak is
YakNak is a free information site about queues at the road border crossings between Ukraine and Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. We publish:
- an estimate of the wait for cars, coaches and pedestrians;
- the typical week of each crossing — which days and hours are usually hardest there;
- the nearest alternative crossings;
- reference articles on documents, customs allowances and the new European border control systems.
We are not a public authority. We have no connection to the State Border Guard Service, the customs service or the eCherha queue system, and we can neither speed up your clearance nor influence an officer's decision.
Accuracy — the one thing to understand
Every number on this site is an estimate, not a fact. The wait is computed as the minimum processing time plus the number of cars in the queue multiplied by the average throughput per car. Both constants are specific to each crossing and are refined against observed data. The full methodology is in About.
The estimate does not account for how long your own document check takes, for a customs inspection, for lanes being reassigned, for roadworks, weather, or events we do not know about.
Data refreshes roughly every ten minutes and depends on external sources. A source can go silent, be wrong, or return stale figures — in that case the crossing card carries a note of how old the data is. When there is no data at all, we say so plainly instead of showing a zero.
Check official sources before you act. Opening hours, crossing rules, documents and customs allowances are set by the State Border Guard Service and the State Customs Service. Where our page contradicts theirs, theirs is the correct one.
Liability
The site is provided "as is". We do everything reasonable to keep the figures accurate, but we do not warrant that they are correct or complete, or that the service will be continuously available.
We are not liable for time lost, a missed departure, a cancelled booking, fuel spent, or any other consequence of a decision made on the basis of this site. The decision on when to travel and through which crossing is yours.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites we link to, including government portals and partner sites.
What you may do with the data
You may:
- use the site for your own travel, free of charge and without registering;
- quote our data and articles with a link to the specific page;
- share links anywhere, including carrier chats and traveller communities.
You may not:
- bulk-harvest the site with automated scripts in a way that loads the server;
- present our data as your own or resell access to it;
- reproduce whole articles without crediting the source;
- circumvent technical limits, probe for vulnerabilities without our consent, or interfere with the service.
If you need programmatic access to the data, write to us through the contact form — that is settled by agreement, not by scraping.
AI and language models
The site is deliberately open to language models: every page has a plain-text rendition at the same address with the /md/ prefix. We have no objection to assistants quoting our figures, provided they name the source and the date.
Text, data and rights
The articles, the calculation methodology and the derived indicators (the typical week, the per-crossing calibration) are produced by our team. The underlying border traffic data belongs to the sources named in About.
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising. Advertisers have no influence on the figures we show or the articles we publish. We do not accept payment for making a crossing look better or worse than it is. How advertising cookies work is described in the Privacy policy.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date of the last update is at the bottom of the page. Substantive changes are described in the text rather than made quietly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. We try to settle disputes by correspondence first — write to us; most misunderstandings are resolved by a single explanation.
